IACCP 21st International Congress 2012

The International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology wishes you all a prosperous 2012 and would like to invite you to attend the IACCP 21st Congress in Stellenbosch, South Africa in July 2012.

Arrangements for the Congress are progressing well and the organizers have secured 12 keynote speakers, 12 invited symposia, the Walter J. Lonner Distinguished invited lecture and a State of the Art lecture. Four pre-conference workshops have been arranged and will take place before the opening of the conference on 17 July 2012.

We are excited about the PhD Winter School for post-graduate students in psychology and related fields, which includes four streams led by seasoned cross-cultural psychologists over a period of four days (13-16 July 2012). The IACCP has secured sponsorship for one of the steams from the Jacobs Foundation, which includes a travel grant as well as registration fee for the winter school and associated expenses. Please visit the IACCP 2012 web site for more information.

Abstracts can still be submitted to the organizers of the Congress and the closing date is 30 January 2012. A total of 360 abstracts and 20 symposia have already been received by the Scientific Committee. The review process is already in an advanced stage, and some acceptance letters have been sent out. A draft conference program structure is now available on the web site.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to becoming an IACCP member. Apply now, as membership entitles you to a reduced congress registration fee, hard copy and online subscription to the Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology, subscription to the Cross-Cultural Psychology Bulletin, full access to the IAACP Online Directory, Member privileges on the IACCP website (iaccp.org) and participation in the IACCP discussion list.

A truly African rainbow experience awaits you in Stellenbosch, featuring its rich cultural diversity, exceptional South African hospitality, and magnificent mountain valleys in the winelands of South Africa.

I look forward to seeing you in Stellenbosch in July 2012
